Carnegie Council Launches Global Ethics Corner
New York, New York--The Carnegie Council is pleased to announce Global Ethics Corner, a weekly series of 90-second segments devoted to newsworthy ethical issues. Launched and produced by Senior Fellow and Program Director William C. Vocke, these pieces are multi-media, available as videos, audios, podcasts, and transcripts.
"The purpose of these short segments is not to provide answers," says Vocke, "but to ask the audience to explore the underlying ethical problems behind the headlines and to come to their own conclusions. The topics are eclectic-recent examples include robots on the battlefield, the financial crisis, and the debate over "slow food" versus fast food. We encourage audience responses. Global Ethics Corners are also available as features for newspapers and radio stations, on request."
Global Ethics Corner has its own YouTube channel, so that people can post text and video comments:
You can find also Global Ethics Corner on the Carnegie Council website at: http://www.carnegiecouncil.org/resources/gec/index.html William C. Vocke is a lifelong proponent of international education.
