Ethics matter. Whether in business or in politics, the environment or emerging technologies, we manage ethical challenges on a daily basis. On most days, we take these challenges as they come. On October 16th, we will take steps to put our principles into action.
Launched by Carnegie Council in 2014, Global Ethics Day is an opportunity for institutions to hold events on or around this day to explore the essential role of ethics, and how we can strive to make the world, quite simply, better.
How can you get involved and spread the word?
Organize an activity such as a lecture, panel, debate, film screening, or environmental clean-up. Popular topics include ethics in business, protecting the environment, ethics in the classroom, personal values, democracy, and human rights.
To get started, visit GlobalEthicsDay.org to find ideas for activities, access free online material about ethics, and to download Global Ethics Day posters and logos. We encourage you to share your #GlobalEthicsDay2019 activities on the Global Ethics Day website and on social media.
Please let us know if you're planning to be involved in Global Ethics Day 2019. You can use this form to sign up and share your ideas, experiences, and photos with us. If you have questions or prefer to contact us via email, please write to [email protected].
So don't miss out this year. Make sure your voice is heard. Help make Global Ethics Day a day that inspires, challenges, educates, and encourages all of us to make our world a more ethical place.
Together, let's work to make ethics matter.
