Dec 2, 2024

On October 16, 2024, hundreds of organizations and thousands of individuals across nearly 70 countries celebrated the 11th annual Global Ethics Day. Organized by Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs, the annual celebration aims to empower ethics as a tool to live a better life and build a better world.

Governments, schools, businesses, professionals, students, and others hosted events, posted on social media, and engaged in community activities to showcase and examine the role of ethics in daily life. To kick off Global Ethics Day, Carnegie Council partnered with The Geostrata, a youth-led think tank based in India, to organize a special panel discussion and Q&A on youth engagement, ethical leadership, and the future of democracy, with panelists joining from across the globe.

The keynote event for Global Ethics Day 2024 was hosted at Carnegie Council’s Global Ethics Hub in New York City. The event titled “Empowering Next-Gen Civic Leaders” featured an expert panel discussion on enhancing youth participation and intergenerational collaboration to tackle today’s ethical issues.
