Betsy Hartmann is professor emerita of development studies at Hampshire College in Amherst, MA.
A longstanding activist in the international women's health movement, she writes and speaks frequently on the nexus between international population, environment and security concerns.
Her books include Reproductive Rights and Wrongs: The Global Politics of Population Control and the political thriller The Truth about Fire about the Far Right in the U.S. and Europe.
