Bharath Gopalaswamy

Bio

Bharath Gopalaswamy is deputy director at Atlantic Council. Gopalaswamy has also been a senior research scholar at Cornell University and a researcher in SIPRI's Arms Control and Non-proliferation Programme. Prior to joining SIPRI he was a postdoctoral associate at Cornell University's Peace Studies Program in which he applied his technical knowledge to current foreign policy issues. He holds a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering with a specialization in numerical acoustics. He has previously worked at the Indian Space Research Organization's High Altitude Test Facilities and the EADS Astrium GmbH division in Germany. He is also a graduate of the 2008 Summer Workshop on Analysis of Military Operations and Strategies.
