Claudia Coenjaerts is head of office for the Caribbean at International Labor Organization.
Coenjaerts, a native of Belgium previously worked for the International Labor Organization (ILO) from 1991 to 2013. While at the ILO, she worked as a gender associate expert and consultant in Bangkok, Thailand, and Phnom Penh, Cambodia; director of the ILO offices in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka; senior specialist for socio-economic reintegration in the ILO crisis response and reconstruction program in Geneva; and deputy regional director for management, administration and operations in the ILO’s regional office for Africa in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
