Danielle Celermajer was formerly head of policy in the Office of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Social Justice Commissioner at the Australian Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission. She joined the University of Sydney in the Spring of 2005, where she has established two postgraduate human rights programs.
She has written extensively on the forced removal of Aboriginal children and the apology movement that grew out of the belated exposure of this practice.
