Danwood Chirwa is professor of economic, social and cultural rights, children’s rights, international human rights law and comparative African constitutional and administrative law at the University of Cape Town.
Chirwa was previously a research fellow in the Socio-Economic Rights Project at the Community Law Centre, University of the Western Cape, South Africa. He was a lead researcher on the Socio-Economic Rights Project’s joint endeavor with the Local Government Project exploring privatization. Before joining the Community Law Centre, he practiced law in Malawi.
