Dave Lawson is the chief financial officer at Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs. In this consultatory role, he is responsible for the development and implementation of the organization’s financial strategy.
Lawson has worked with nonprofits in the health and human services, education, and publishing sectors. Responsibilities have included budgeting and forecasting, strategic planning, banking relations, and working capital management. Lawson also currently serves on the board of a local nonprofit.
Earlier in his career as a vice president with NBCUniversal, a division of Comcast Corporation, Lawson directed the financial strategy for multiple subsidiaries and was part of the team that launched cable television station NECN.
Lawson received his MBA from Babson College and a BS in management from the University of Massachusetts, Boston. In addition, he is a certified public accountant (CPA).
