David Stevenson is professor of international history at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is the author of Cataclysm: the First World War as Political Tragedy and With Our Backs to the Wall: Victory and Defeat in 1918.
His main fields of interests lie in international relations in Europe during the 19th and 20th centuries; origins, course, and the impact of World War I.
