Fawaz Gerges is professor of international relations at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Gerges previously held the Christian A. Johnson Chair in International Affairs and Middle Eastern Studies at Sarah Lawrence College. He is also a consultant and regular commentator for ABC News.
