Bio
Gabriele Köhler is a development practitioner based in Munich, and a visiting fellow in the Vulnerability and Poverty Reduction Team at the Institute of Development Studies, Sussex, where her current research is on South Asian welfare states and their social protection policies.
Earlier, she worked as an economist with UN ESCAP, UNCTAD, UNDP, and UNICEF. Gabriele is a member of the initiative ""human security-2015,"" an effort to influence discussions on the Millennium Agenda beyond 2015, and of the Inequality and Social Justice Roundtable Group.
