Bio
Gideon Rachman has been chief foreign affairs commentator for the Financial Times since 2006.
Previously, Rachman spent 15 years at The Economist, including spells as a foreign correspondent in Brussels, Washington, DC, and Bangkok. He began his career with the BBC World Service in 1984 and from 1988 to 1990, he was a reporter for The Sunday Correspondent, based in Washington, DC.
