Helima Croft is the managing director and chief commodities strategist at RBC Capital Markets.
Croft joined RBC from Barclays Capital, where she was head of North American commodities research, specializing in oil and natural gas, and base and precious metals. Prior to joining Barclays Capital in September 2008, Croft was part of the business intelligence group at Lehman Brothers, which advised the firm’s executive committee on international political and economic issues.
Prior to joining Lehman in 2005, Croft was the intelligence fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations, and spent four years as a senior economic analyst in the Asia Pacific, Latin America, and Africa office of the Central Intelligence Agency.
