Bio
Pablo de Greiff, a native of Colombia, is research director at the International Center for Transitional Justice (ICTJ). He has written extensively on transitions to democracy, democratic theory, and the relationship between morality, politics, and law, and is the editor or coeditor of five books, including Jürgen Habermas’s The Inclusion of the Other (MIT Press, 1998) and of Global Justice and Transnational Politics (MIT Press, 2002).
From 2000 to 2001, he was the recipient of a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Humanities, and was a Laurence S. Rockefeller Fellow at the Center for Human Values at Princeton University. Along with his colleagues at ICTJ, he has been preparing a comprehensive study of reparations entitled Repairing the Past: Compensation for Human Rights Violations. He is also currently completing a book entitled Redeeming the Claims of Justice in Transitions to Democracy
