Bio
Priscila Néri is a Brazilian journalist, activist, and documentary filmmaker who joined WITNESS in 2008 to help run the Hub and support WITNESS campaigns online. She is currently working on the campaign on Forced Evictions in the Name of Development.
Previously, Néri ran the New York office of CDI, a network of technology & civic engagement schools in Latin America. She has also worked as a reporter for Brazilian newspaper O Estado de S.Paulo and as a freelance journalist for media outlets including Reuters and Carta Capital.
In 2005, Néri traveled to the Sertão Nordestino, the poorest region in Brazil, to collaborate with local NGOs and shoot a documentary about seven women (now in post-production). She is an MFA candidate at the Integrated Media Arts Program at Hunter College.
