Bio
Ramona Ortega is the co-director of the Human Rights Project of the Urban Justice Center. Her community activism is deeply rooted in her family's experience as migrant farm workers in California, where as a teenager she worked with the United Farm Workers. She began her professional career as a journalist and later worked for a public policy research organization before joining the Urban Justice Center.
