Bio
With a master's degree in human rights from the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, Rocco Nuri has been working since 2006 across the Middle East and North Africa to advocate on behalf of refugees and other displaced persons. Since joining UNHCR in 2008, he has been working in the field of public information to tell the stories of forced migrants and draw the attention of media, donors, and influential actors to situations of forced displacement.
After five years spent in Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen, and Tunisia, in November 2012 Nuri joined UNHCR Innovation as a communications officer. In this role, he highlights stories of innovation happening within UNHCR, documents good practices, and raises awareness about the work of UNHCR Innovation and innovators within the organization.
