Samhita Dulam was a summer intern at Carnegie Council.
Although born in Miami, Florida, Dulam lived much of her childhood in Natchez, Mississippi and attended boarding school at Deerfield Academy in Massachusetts, all of which she considers home. Currently, Dulam is a rising senior at The George Washington University (GW) where she is studying to earn her BA in international affairs and economics with a concentration in international economics and a minor in sustainability. She also just completed studying abroad for one academic year at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). She was elected by her fellow students to be the president of LSE’s General Course (study abroad) program.
Additionally at GW, she is a part of the Honors Program, a Presidential Academic Scholar recipient, and serves in the Executive Cabinet of the Student Government Association. She previously interned with both the United States Senate and House of Representatives, where she scribed during committee hearings and wrote memos on various policy areas.
Outside of her education, Dulam enjoys running and hiking at sunset, herb gardening with her family, and playing Carroms.
