Thomas W. Lippman is a writer and journalist specializing in U.S. foreign policy and Middle Eastern affairs and an adjunct scholar at the Middle East Institute in Washington, D.C. For nearly two decades, he wrote about Saudi Arabia for the Washington Post as a Middle East bureau chief and national security correspondent.
