Yukari Kayama is an associate at the Mitsubishi Corporation, engaging in the investment of electric power projects in Latin America. She previously focused on Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Previously, Kayama attended the Y20 Summit, an official engagement group of G20, where youth delegates representing the G20 member states gather and make policy recommendations to the G20. As a Japanese Delegation Leader in 2014 and as a member of the Japanese Delegate in 2012, she made policy recommendations on global governance and sustainable development.
Kayama organized the Y7 Summit in 2016, a summit similar to the Y20, along with the G7 Summit in Japan. She also chaired the sustainable development roundtable.
Kayama's research focus as a Pacific Delegate is the role of religious organizations in disaster risk reduction and the post-disaster period.
In her free time, she enjoys competitive ballroom dancing, traveling, and singing.
